                                                       TIME MANAGEMENT TIPS

Don’t let time rule you, you rule it by using these tips.

1,  Plan each day’s activities the night before.  (Amy)

2,  Throw away what is not useful.  If you haven’t used it in a year, you don’t need it.

3.  Organize clothes in closet by colors. (Sharon)

4. Define one place to put paper work and mail..  (Judy)

5. Keep receipts from bills in separate envelopes and clean them out yearly.   (Ruby)

6. Put a piece of important mail in your purse until it can be put where it belongs.

7.To conserve space roll your towels, t-shirts, socks, etc.  (Nina)

8. Have a drawer to keep loose stuff in.  (Amy)

9. Have a calendar that can be marked easily.  (Ruby)

10. Have things by the door that need to taken with you the next day.  (Judy)

11 Pick out clothes for the next day the night before.  (Pam)

12.Discard junk mail right away.  (Sharon)

13. Write dates bills are due on a wall calendar.  (Amy)

14. Write due dates on envelopes that the bills came in.  (Ruby)

15.Sort toys and give away unwanted ones.  (Ruby)    Let children play with a portion of their toys and then store
that portion and give them a different portion.  (Amy)

16.Make a shopping list every week.  (Laverne)

17.Use a coupon organizer.

18.Create a schedule of chores for children—alternate chores if more that one child is
involved.  (Nicki C.)  Keep a chore schedule on refrigerator.  (Amy)

19.Have separate laundry baskets for dark, white and colored clothes.  Have children                
turn socks and pants right side out before putting them in a basket..  (Sharon)

20.Participate in a meal share program—families taking turns cooking for each other.  
Another idea is cooking a whole weeks worth of food and labeling and freezing it.

21. Make a note when you think of something you need to do or something you need to       
tell someone and put it in your purse.  This is to act as a reminder to do it.

22.Make a list of all the projects that you want to get done.  Put each project in a circle      
on a piece of paper.  Keep progress notes on each project.   (Elizabeth)

23. Pay bills on line.  (Pam)

24.Buy stamps before you run out.  (Elizabeth)
